§ 22-42. Board of Trustees generally.

(a)

Each member of the Board of Trustees of the Richmond Retirement System shall discharge such member's duties with the care, skill, prudence, and diligence of a prudent person acting in like capacity and familiar with such matters.

(b)

The members of the Board shall be appointed by City Council for terms of three years, and the Board shall consist of seven trustees, two of whom shall be members of the classified service.

(c)

If a vacancy occurs in the office of a trustee, the vacancy shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as the office was previously filled.

(d)

Each trustee shall be entitled to one vote on the Board, and a majority of its members shall constitute a quorum.
